Original-style WWII German Army First Pattern Tropical Pith Helmet, developed for use by the Deutsches Afrika Korps (DAK) during the North African campaign. The design is based on the earlier Kriegsmarine tropical pith helmet.
The helmet is covered in ribbed tan (green) cotton twill and features a six-panel, vertically seamed crown with an all-around visor and a reinforced rear seam. It is fitted with two stamped brass insignia shields: a Wehrmacht national eagle on the right side and a national tricolor shield on the left. The eagle is embossed in high relief with down-swept wings on a black-painted background, while the tricolor shield displays red, white, and black diagonal stripes. Both insignia are identical to the originals, with pins soldered on the back for attachment.
Complete with a leather sweatband and leather chinstrap.
