WWII United Staes US Army Second Pattern M1943 Jacket OD7 Darker HBT

$42.99

This pattern of jacket was introduced to replace the first pattern example and saw service throughout the rest of the war. It is made in the darker shade OD7 material which was introduced in early 1943. The jacket is made from the herringbone twill material used for all US Army workwear during the Second World War and is fitted with metal 13 star buttons throughout, save for the left breast pocket button which is a period replacement which looks to be of European origin. The jacket features large pockets to the chest which are the most obvious piece of design found on the second pattern jacket. This pattern has its 'gas flap' which is the section of material which fastens behind the button front.
